Let the present age of man as X

present age of son as Y

age of man is X-10

age of son is Y-10

conditions

1). X=2Y

2). X-10=3(Y-10)

so, X-2Y=0

X-3Y=-20

by solving this

we get Y=20

and.

X-2(20)=0

X-40=0

X=40

present age of son is 20 years

present age of man is 40 years

hope it helps...

Answer:

Let present age of Father= x

so son age = x/2

now, 10 year ago,

Father age = x—10

son age= x/2 — 10

a/q

x - 10 = 3( \frac{x}{2} - 10) \\ 2x - 20 = 3x - 60 \\ 3x - 2x = 60 - 20 = 40 \\ x = 40

so Father's present age = 40 yrs

son's present age = 20 yrs
