Answer :-

Given :-

Present age of father is four times his son.

After 20 years age of father will be twice the age of son.

To Find :-

Present age of father and son

Solution :-

Let the present age of son be x

Present age of father = 4x

Age after 20 years :-

→ Son's age = x + 20

→ Father's age = 4x + 20

According to the question :-

→ 2( x + 20 ) = 4x + 20

→ 2x + 40 = 4x + 20

→ 4x - 2x = 40 - 20

→ 2x = 20

→ x = 20 / 2

→ x = 10

Age of son = 10 years

Age of father = 40 years

20 yrs hence,

father's age=4x+20

4x+20=2(x+20)

4x+20=2x+40

4x-2x=40-20

2x=20
