let the present age of two children be 2x and 3x

five years ago, age of two children will be (2x -5) and (3x-5)

a.t.p,

(2x-5)/(3x-5) = 1:2

3x-5 = 4x-10

3x-4x = -10+5

-x = -5

x = 5

present age of 1st child= 5×2 = 10

present age of 2nd child = 5×3 = 15

hope my answer helps you!

Answer:

present ratio 2:3

five years ago 1:2

so x and y are present age

x/y=2/3

x-5/y-5=1/2

3x=2y

2x-10=y-5

2x-10=3/2x-5 from 3x=2y

4x-20=3x-10

x=10

y=15 by putting x value in any equation

so childrens age are 10 and 15
