Answer:three years ago the age of 4x,5x

now the present age will be

the present age of =4x+3

the present age of b=5x+3

=4x+3÷5x+3=5÷6

5(5x+3)=6(4x+3)

25x+15=24x+18

25x-24x=18-15

x=3

their present age will be

5x=5×3=15yr✔

6x=6×3=18yr✔

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the common multiple be x

5x , 6x

three years ago

5x - 3 and 6x-3

5x-3/6x-3 = 4/5

5(5x-3) = 4(6x-3)

25x - 15 = 24x - 12

25x - 24x = -12 + 15

x = 3

Present ages are

A = 5x = 5 x 3 = 15

B = 6x = 6 x 3 = 18
