hey here is your answer

pls mark it as brainliest pls

Step-by-step explanation:

so let the present ages of A and B be x and y years respectively

so according to the first condition

x:y=7:4

ie x/y=7/4

ie 4x=7y

so 4x-7y=0 (1)

according to the second condition

x+6:y+6=10:7

ie x+6/y+6=10/7

ie 7(x+6)=10(y+6)

7x+42=10y+60

ie 7x-10y=18 (2)

multiplying (1) by the 10 and (2) by 7

we get

40x-70y=0 (3)

49x-70y=126 (4)

subtracting (3) from (4)

we get

9x=126

x=14

substitute value of x in any of four equations

we get

y=8

hence present age of A is 14 years and that of B ia 8 years
