Answer: Let the present age of A be 7x

the present age of B is 5x

Ten years later :

A's age = 7x+10

B's age = 5x+10

According to the question,

7x+10 = 9

5x+10 7

7(7x+10) = 9(5x+10)

49x + 70 = 45x + 90

49x - 45x = 90-70

4x = 20

x = 20/4

x = 5

A's present age = 7x = 7(5) = 35 years

B's present age = 5x = 5(5) = 25 years

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let present age of A =7x

let present age of B = 5x

After 10 yrs

age of A = 7x+10

age of B = 5x+10

∴A.T.Q

\frac{7x+10}{5x+10} = \frac{9}{7}

7(7x+10) = 9(5x+10)

49x + 70 = 45x + 90

49x - 45x = 90 - 70

2x = 20

x = \frac{20}{2}

x = 10

∴  Present age of A = 7x = 7*10 = 70 yrs

and  Present age of B = 5x = 5*10 = 50 yrs
