Let the son's present age be x .

Father's present age = 4x

After 4 years,

Son's age = x+4

Father's age = 4x+4

4x+4=3(x+4)

4x+4=3x+12

4x-3x=12-4

x=8

Son's present age = 8

Father's s present age =4x = 4×8=32
