Given :-

The ratio of ages of Manas and Raghu = 3/4

Let their present be x

So, we get

$\frac{3x}{4x}$

according to problem,

after 5 years their age will be 4/5

so,

$\frac{3x + 5}{4x + 5} = \frac{4}{5}$

By cross multiplication, we get

$5(3x + 5) = 4(4x + 5)$

$15x + 25 = 16x - 25$

$16x + 20 - 15x - 25 = 0$

$x - 5 = 0$

$so \: x = 5$

Verification :-

$\frac{3 \times 5}{4 \times 5} = \frac{15}{20} = \frac{3}{4}$

After 5 years

$\frac{15 + 5}{20 + 5} = \frac{20}{ 25} = \frac{4}{5}$

Therefore , x = 5...
