Let the present age of Neelam be 3x yrs
and
The present age of Nitin be 4x yrs
According to the question,
After 6 years ,
Their age will be -: 3x + 6 / 4x + 6 = 4/5
[cross multiplication ]
5(3x + 6) = 4(4x + 6)
15 x + 30 = 16 x + 24
16x - 15 x = 30 - 24
x = 6
Therefore,
Age of Neelam-: 3x = 3 x 6 = 18 yrs
Age of Nitin -: 4x = 4 x 6 = 24 yrs
