Let the present ages of Parul and Sonia be 5k and 7k years. 7k +9 =2*(5k-9) => 7k +9 = 10k -18 => 27 = 3k => k = 9 years So the ages of Parul and Sonia at present => 45 years and 63 years . Hope it helps you.

according to question
(5x+9) = 2*(7x-9)
27= 9x
x = 3
parul age 5x = 15 yrs
Sonia = 3x = 9yrs
