Let 3 be 3x and 4 be 4x

Present age of Shyam= 48

Age of ram after 10 years = ?

Find the present age of Ram = 3x = 3 ×10 = 30

30 + 10

40

I am not sure as

What are the present ages of Ram and Shyam if they are in the ratio of 4:3 and after thirty years, Ram will be 10 years older than Shyam

Let the rationale between ages of Ram and Shyam be x.

Thus the present age of Ram is 4x years and present age of Shyam is 3x years,

As per statement, after thirty years, Ram will be 10 years older than Shyam

The difference of 10 years between the ages of Ram and Shyam, as mentioned after 30 years have continually maintained throughout both their life.

It means when Shyam was born, Ram was 10 years older than him. So the difference in age of 10 years will remain irrespective of how old they are. Thus the rationale between ages is 10 years. Therefore

Ram’s present age is 4x = 4 × 10 = 40 years.

Shyam’s present age is 3x = 3 × 10 = 30 years.

Answer Ram’s present age is 40 years and Shyam’s present age is 30 years.
