after 17 years

5x+17/2x+17 = 4/1

1(5x+17) = 4(2x+17)

5x+17= 8x+68

8x-5x= 68-17

3x = 51

x= 51/3

present age of Rohit = 5x= 17×5 = 85

present age of kohit = 2x= 17×2 = 34
