let age expressed in 'X'

then present age 5x:4x

after 3 years it becomes

  = \frac{5x + 3}{4x + 3}  =  \frac{11}{9 }   \\ (5x + 3) \times 9 = (4x + 3) \times 11 \\ 45x + 27 = 44x + 33 \\ x = 6 \\ geeta \: age \:  = 6 \times 4 = 24 \: years \\ seeta \: age \:  = 6 \times 5 \:  = 30 \: years
