Answer:

Let the ratio be in x

Present ages of the three persons are 3x,4x and 6x

Since, four years ago :

The ages were 3x-4, 4x-4 and 6x-4

According to the question,

3x-4+4x-4+6x-4=66

13x-12=66

13x=66+12

13x=78

x=78/13

x=6

Present age of three persons are=3x=3×6=18years

4x=4×6=24years

6x=6×6=36years

Step-by-step explanation:

let the age of the person be x

age of 1st person is 3x

age of 2nd person = 4x

age of 3rd person = 6x

four year ago:

age of 1st person = 3x-4

age of 2nd person = 12x-4

age of 3rd person= 18x-4

13x-12 =66

13x=66+12

x=78÷13

x= 6

therefore the present age is

3x=18 years

4x=24 years

6x=36 years
