Age of first child is 10 years

Age second child is 15 years

•Let the age of first child is 2x

• Using given ratio

• age of second child will be 3x

• Five years ago

age of first child is 2x-5

•age of second child 3x -5

• According to Question

(2x-5)/(3x-5)= 1/2

• 2(2x-5)= 3x-5

• 4x-10 = 3x-5

• x =5

•Age of first child = 2x = 10 years

•Age second child = 3x= 15 years
