Ratio of two childern present age = 2 : 3

Let common Ratio be = x

Age of Child1 = 2x

Age of Child2 = 3x

Age of Child1 = 2x - 5

Age of Child2 = 3x - 5

According to question

 \frac{2x - 5}{3x - 5} = \frac{1}{2} \\ By \: Cross \: Multiplication \\ 2(2x - 5) = 1(3x - 5) \\ 4x - 10 = 3x - 5 \\ 4x - 3x = - 5 + 10 \\ x = 5 \\ Child1 \: Present \: Age \: = 2x = 2(5) = 10yrs \\ Child2 \:Present \: Age \: = 3x = 3(5) = 15yrs

Hope it helps!
