In the above question, the following information is given -

The present age of Mera and her brother are in the ratio 6:5.

Four years ago, the ratio of their ages was 4:3.

Let the present ages of Mera and her brother be 6x and 5 x respectively .

Four years back -

Age Of Mera = 6x - 4

Age Of her Brother = 5x - 4

Now these are in a ratio of 4 : 3 .

So,

$\dfrac{6x-4}{5x-4} = \dfrac{4}{3} \\ \\ 4(5x-4) = 3( 6x - 4 ) \\ \\ 20x - 16 = 18x - 12 \\ \\ 2x = 4 \\ \\ x = 2 \\ \\6x = 12 \\ \\ 5x = 10$

Hence the present age of Mera is 12 years and that of her brother is 10 years .
