Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

the present ratio between the ages of A and B is is 2:3 if the age of A is 12 years less than the age B .

To find:-

what is the present age of B?

Solution:-

The ratio of present ages of A and B= 2:3

Let they be 2X and 3X

Let the present age of A= 2X years

Let the present age of B=3X years

Age of A=Age of B-12

=>2X=3X-12

=>3X-2X=12

=>X=12

now 2X=2(12)=24

3X=3(12)=36

So A=2X=24 years

B=3X=36 years

Answer:-

Present age of A=24 years

Present age of B=36 years
