✦ True Discount ➸T.D
✦ Banker's Discount ➸B.D
✦Banker's gain ➸B.G
✦Present worth ➸P.W

Given

➺ Present worth = ₹800

➺ True Discount = ₹36

True Discount = √(Present worth *Banker's gain )

B.G= (TD)²/P.W

= 36²/800

= 1296/800

=1.62

Banker's Discount =T.D +B.G

=36+1.62

True Discount → T.D = ₹ 36

Banker's Discount → B.D

Banker's gain → B.G

Present worth → P.W = ₹ 800

B.G. = (T.D)²/P.W

= (36)²/800

= (36×36)/800

= 1.62

B.D = (T.D + B.G) = (36 + 1.62)

= ₹ 37.62
