The  president  of  India  enjoys  certain  rights.They    are;

*  Legislative  powers-  A  bill  passed  by  the  parliament  becomes  a  law only  ater the  president  gives  accent  to  it.If  she  want  she  can  delay  the  bill  for  some  time  and  send  it  back  to  the  parliament  for  reconsideration.But  if  the  Parliament  passes  the  bill  again  she  has  to  sign  it.
She   also  has  the  power  to  pass  an  ordinance  when    Parliament  is  not  in  session.

  All  international  treaties  are  also  made  in  the  name  of  the  president.
In  India  the  president is  the  supreme  commander  of  the  defence  forces.

*  judicial  powers-  The  president  also  has  the power  to  grant  pardon  to  a person  who  has  been   granted  the   punisment  of  hanging  to  death  by  the  Supreme  Court.

*  Emergency  powers-If  the  government  in  a  state  or  in  the  country  is  unable  to  govern  properly    the  President   can   declare  emergency  on  the  advice  of  Governor  or    the     Prime    mInister.she  has  the  power  to  declare  the   war    and  in  case  of  Financial  emergency  she  has the  power  to  cut  down  the  salaries  of  high  officials.
