The first session of All India Trade Union Congress was held under Lala Lajpat Roy.
The session was held on 31 October, 1920 which amrked the beginning of the AITUC.
Lala Lajput Roy gave a significant contribution in all the protests held during october 1920 and most of them were organised by the labours.
He was able to rise the oldest federation of the country, that is, the AITUC who has 27 lakh members and is affiliated to the CPI.
