density \: of \: water \:  =  \: 1000 \: kg / {m}^{3} ; \:  \: g \:  =  \: 9.8 \:  m /  {s}^{2}

hence \: h \:  =  \: p /  pg \:  = ( \: 4.9 \times  {10}^{6} )   /  (1000 \times 9.8)

 =  \: 500 \: m.
