Given :-

  • The pressure (P) exerted by a block of wood = 40pa.
  • The force(F) exerted by the block = 80N.

To Find :-

  • The surface area (A) of the wood.

Solution :-

As we know that,

{ \boxed{ \tt{ \red{P = \frac{F}{A}}}}}

[ Putting values ]

 \large  \mapsto\tt \: 40 =  \frac{80}{A}

 \large \mapsto \tt \: 40 \times A = 80

 \large \mapsto \tt \: A =  \frac{ \:  \cancel{80N}}{ \cancel{40N}/m {}^{2} }

   \mapsto\boxed{\large\tt  \blue{\: Area \:  = 2m {}^{2} }}

Hence,

  • The surface area of the wood is 2m².
