pressure = force / area

800= force / 0.01

Force = 800 x 0.01

Force = 8 N

Answer

  • Force = 8 N

Given

  • The pressure exerted by an object is 800
  • Area of the object is 0.01 square metre

To Find

  • Force acting on the object

Concept Used

  • Pressure
  • It is defined as the force acting per unit area

\bigstar \bf \;\; P=\dfrac{F}{A}

  • SI unit of Pressure is Pascal , Pa
  • SI unit of Force is Newton , N
  • SI unit of Area is m²

Solution

Pressure exerted , P = 800 Pa

Area , A = 0.01 m²

Force , F = ? N

Apply formula ,

\implies \rm P=\dfrac{F}{A}\\\\\implies \rm 800=\dfrac{F}{0.01}\\\\\implies \rm 800\times 0.01=F\\\\\implies \rm 800 \times \dfrac{1}{100}=F\\\\\implies \rm 8=F\\\\\implies \rm F=8\ N\ \;\; \bigstar

So , Force acting on the object is 8 N .
