Given :

Side of cubical block , a = 4 cm = 0.04 m .

Pressure exerted by the side on surface , P = 10 Pa .

To find :

The weight of the block .

Solution :

We know , pressure is given by :

P=\dfrac{W}{A}

Here , W is weight and A is area of surface .

Therefore , W=P\times A         ....... ( 1 )

Now , Area of square is given by :

A=a^2\\A=0.04^2\ m^2\\A=1.6\times 10^{-3}\ m^2

Putting value of A and P in equation 1 .

We get :

W=10 \times 1.6\times 10^{-3} \ N\\W=0.016 \ N

Therefore , the weight of the block is 0.016 N .
