the pressure of a gas in LPG cylinder with a movable piston is 300Pa. the area of the piston is 0.5 metre square. calculate the force exerted on the piston.​

Solution-

Given,

  • Pressure (P) = 300 Pa or 300 N/m²
  • Area (A) = 0.5 m²

We know that, Pressure = Force/Area

So, Force = Pressure × Area

= 300 N/m² × 0.5 m²

= 150 N.
