The pressure of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature at constant volume and is inversely proportional to its volume at constant pressure. For a given sample of gas, the pressure, volume and temperature are 70 unit, 44 unit and 40 unit respectively. Find the volume that gas when its pressure and temperature are 88 unit and 56 unit respectively.

Answer:

49 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Pressure P=kt/v(k is a constant)

This k =PV/T

Universal gas law equation P1V1/T1=P2V2/T2

70*44/40=88*V2/56

V2=70*44*56/(40*88)

V2=49
