Hey mate,

Let

P2 = 1.004P1

T2 = T + 1

Then,

We know,

P1V1/T1 = 1.004P1V1/T1+1

So cross multiply and solve,

To get

T1 = 250k

Hope this helps you out!

Answer :

The initial temperature of the gas is 250 K.

Step-by-step explanation :

Let the pressure of the gas be P and temperature be T.

Then,

P_{2}=(P+\frac{0.4}{100}p)=1.004 P

Also,

T_2=(T+1)\:K

Since, the volume is constant. Therefore, by Pressure law -

\frac{P}{T}=\frac{1.004\:P}{(T+1)}

T+1=1.004\:T

1=0.004\:T

T=\frac{1}{0.004}

T=\frac{1000}{4}

T=250K
