The price of 2 books and 3 notebooks is₹340 but a book costs ₹20 more than a notebook . Find the price of each. Also verify the correctness of the answer

let price of the book is =x
price of the notebook is =y
then 2 books price will be =2x
3 notebooks price will be =3y
then
2x+3y=340...........(1)
and x=y+20................(2)
putting the value of x in (2),(1) will be
2(y+20)+3y=340
or 2y+40+3y=340
or 5y=340-40=300
or y=300/5
or y=60..................(3)
putting the value of y in (3),(2) will be
x=60+20
or x=80

x=80
y=60...............(ans)
