The price of 2 cakes and 4  chocolates is Rs.160 => 2x + 4y = 160,

which can be further simplified to x + 2y = 80 ------(1)

the same money one can  buy 1 cake and 6  chocolate

x + 6y = 160 ----(2)

Subtracting (1) from (2),

4y = 80

y = 20

substituting y = 20 in (1)

x + 2(20) = 80

x = 40

So, each cake is rs 40

So, 6 cakes = 6 × 40 = 240 rs
