Let say price of one notebook is X, and price of one pen is Y.

2X+3Y =69

6X+2Y =186

By multiplying 2 in equation 1 and multiplying 3 in equation 2

4X+6Y=138

18Y+6Y=558

So by elimination method X is equal to 30.

Now if we put the value of X in equation 1

2*30+3Y=69

60+3Y=69

3Y=69-60

3Y=9

Y=3

Hence, The cost of a notebook is 30 rupees and the cost of a pen is 3 rupees.
