The price of 2 pens and 3 pencils together is Rs. 64.50 and that of 3 pens and 2 pencils is Rs. 93.what will the total price of 4 pencils and 1 pen ?​

ATQ,

2x +3y=64.5-(1)

and

3x + 2y=93-(2)

subtracting eq.1 from 2, we get

x-y=29.5-(3)

adding eq.1 and 2,we get

5x + 5y=156.5

x+y=156.5/5=31.3-(4)

Now,adding eq.(3) and (4),we get

2x=60.8

therefore, x=Rs.30.4

and substituting the value of x in eq.(3),we get

30.4-y=29.5

therefore, y=Rs.0.9

the cost of 1pen=Rs.30.4

the cost of 1 pencil=Rs.0.9

therfore the cost of 4pencils and 1 pen=(4×0.9) + (1×30.4)

= 3.6 + 30.4

= 34
