Given info : the price of 29 apples, 23 bananas and 19 chikoos is rs. 379. it is known that the price of 1 apple is rs.11 more than the price of 1 banana and 1 chikoo together

To find : the price of 7 apples , 6 bananas and 5 chikoos is ..

solution : let price of an apple is x ,

price of a banana is y

and price of a chikoo is z.

now, x = 11 + y + z ...(1) [ from qn ]

29x + 23y + 19z = 379 ...(2)

subtracting equation (1) from equation (2) we get,

28x + 24y + 20z = 368

⇒4(7x + 6y + 5z) = 368

⇒7x + 6y + 5z = 368/4 = 92

Therefore it is clear that, the price of 7 apples , 6 bananas and 5 chikoo is 92
