let the price of pen be y and that of pencil be x
now,
(3x + 4y =26) ×3 ----1.
(6x + 3y =27) ×4 ----2.
Subtracting 1 from 2------
24x + 12y = 108
- 9x + 12y = 78
15x = 30
x = 30/15
x = 2
substituting this value in eq1.
3(2) +4 y =26
26-6 =4y
20 =4y
y= 20/4 = 5
price of pencil = Rs2
price of pen = Rs5

2 * Eq1 - Eq2
=> 5y = 25
=> y = 5
3x + 4y = 26

=> x = 2
