Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the price of 1 chocolate be X and 1 packet of biscuit be Y

therefore according to question,

CASE 1:

6X + 3Y = 126__________________________________EQ.1

CASE 2:

10X + 3Y = 186_________________________________EQ.2

SUBTRACTING EQUATION 1 FROM EQUATION 2, WE GET,

10X + 3Y = 186

 6X + 3Y = 126

-      -          -

_________________________

4X = 60

X = 12

now, substituting the value of X in eq.2, we get,

10 × 12 + 3Y = 186

3Y = 186 - 120

3Y = 66

Y = 66/3 = 22

Therefore, cost of 1 chocolate = X = ₹12 and cost of 1 packet of biscuit = Y = ₹22
