Solution :-

Let us assume that price of a chocolate is Rs. x and price of a biscuit packet is Rs. y .

So,

→ 6x + 3y = 126

→ 3(2x + y) = 126

→ 2x + y = 42 -------- Eqn.(1)

and,

→ 10x + 3y = 186 --------- Eqn.(2)

multiply Eqn.(1) by (3) and subtracting the result from Eqn.(2),

→ (10x + 3y) - 3(2x + y) = 186 - 3 * 42

→ 10x - 6x + 3y - 3y = 186 - 126

→ 4x = 60

→ x = Rs. 15

putting value of x in Eqn.(1),

→ 2 * 15 + y = 42

→ 30 + y = 42

→ y = 42 - 30

→ y = Rs. 12

therefore, Price of a chocolate is Rs. 15 and Price of a biscuit packet is Rs. 12 .
