$7x + 5y = 11000$

x is chair price in Rs

y is table price in Rd

price of 10 chairs and 8 tables is 17,000 rupees,

$10x + 8y = 17000$

subtracting 1 from 2nd

$3x + 3y = 6000 \\ x + y = 2000 \\ 4x + 4y = 8000$

So the total price of 4 chairs and 4 tables = 8000 rs

7x+5y=11000

Multiply by 10

70x+50y=110000 -(1)

10x+8y=17000

Multiply by 7

70x+56y=119000 -(2)

By (1) and (2)

70x +56y=119000

-70x +50y=100000

= 6y =9000

y=1500 rs.

Put in (1) we get x=500

price of 4 tables and 4 chairs will be = 4×500 + 4×1500

=2000 +6000

=8000 rs.
