Then, price of book is x + 4.

And, price of pencil x - 2.

Now, as per the question,

5(x+4) + 2(x) + 3(x-2) = 74

5x + 20 + 2x + 3x - 6 = 74

10x + 14 = 74

10x = 60

x = 6

So,price of pen is 6 rupees.

Price of book is 10 rupees and price of pencil is 4 rupees.
