Answer:

The change in the total price of fans P and Q put together is 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, price of a fan P is thrice that of fan Q.

Let price of fan Q be x rupees and price of fan P be 3x rupees.

So, their total price

(x + 3x) \: rupees \\ = 4x \: rupees

It is also given, the price of P is increased by 10% and that of Q is decreased by 30%.

Therefore 3x is increased by 10%

So,x becomes

 = 3x \times \frac{100 + 10}{100} \\ = 3x \times \frac{110}{100} \\ = \frac{33x}{10} \: rupees

Again Q is decreased by 30%.

So,x becomes

 = x \times \frac{100 - 30}{100} \\ = x \times \frac{70}{100} \\ = \frac{7x}{10} \: rupees

Now total price of two articles

 = ( \frac{33x}{10} + \frac{7x}{10} ) \\ = \frac{33x + 7x}{10} \: rupees \\ = \frac{40x}{10} \\ = 4x \: rupees

Here before and after sum of cost of fan P and Q is same.

So,we can say there is no charge.
