Let the original price of the garment be Rs.x.

Cost of garment after reducing 15%=Rs.306

Now according to the question-

x−15% of x=306

⇒ x−( 100/15 × x)=306

⇒ x− 3x/20=306

⇒ 20 20x−3x=306

⇒ 17x=6120

⇒ x= 17/6120=360

Hence the original price of the garment is Rs.360.
