Discount rate = 960-816 / 960 ×100

= 144/960×100

Since, the price of the jacket is 960---(1)

and, the price added is 816 ---(2)

Now,

Acc. to question,

=> (X%) × ₹960 = ₹816

=> X/100 × 960 = 816

=> X × 96 = 816 ×10

=> X = 8160/96

=> X = 85%

So, the discount offered is (100-85)%

= 15%.
