The price of a mobile phone is Rs.18,320 and it will reduce by 11.1% the next year. What will be the price of the mobile phone the next year?​

11.1% is the depreciation rate of the mobile

as we can see a decimal right there in the %

So,first we've to make it non decimal other than 0

for that, we've to multiply it by 10

that is

111% and for obtaining the value,divide by 10 as well

111/10

by this process we can convert it into a whole number,

and now let's find the 111/10 of 18320

 \frac{111}{10}  \times 18320 \\  = {111} \times 1832 \\  = 203352

and we've multiplied it with a 10,so to take it back to decimal value,put a point infront of 10s place

that is 2033.52

so,2033.52 will be depreciated next year

18320-2033.52=16,286.48

therefore the value after 2 years with depreciation is 16,286.48
