sale \: value \: of \: scooter \: after \: 3 \: years \:  = 12000(1 -  \frac{2}{100})^{3}  \\  = 12000(1 -  \frac{1}{50} )^{3}  \\  = 12000( \frac{49}{50} ) ^{3}  \\  = 12000 \times  \frac{117649}{125000}  \\  \frac{1411788}{125}  = 11294.304
