Answer:

Given:-

Reduced rate is 450

Reduce given is 25%

So (100 - 25)%

= 75%

Solution:-

75% of X = 450

=> X = 450 × 100/75

=> X = 600

Given :-

Increased ( according to Solution) is 600

and increased % is 20%

100% + 20 % = 120%

Solution:-

120% of X = 600

=> X = 600 × 100/120

=> X = 500

So the Original amount is 500.

Hope it helps you

Answer:

Price = Rs 500

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Price of the shirt increased by 20% and then it is reduced by 25%.
  • After reduction the price is Rs 450.

To Find:

  • What is original price of shirt?

Solution: Let the original price of shirt be Rs x

After increasing 20% price will be

\small\implies{\sf } Price = x + 20/100 of x

\small\implies{\sf } x + 20x/100

\small\implies{\sf } x + 0.2x

\small\implies{\sf } Price = 1.2x

Again, It is reduced by 25%

\small\implies{\sf } Price = 1.2x 25/100 of 1.2x

\small\implies{\sf } 1.2x 30x/100

\small\implies{\sf } 1.2x 0.3x

\small\implies{\sf } Price = 0.9x

It is given that price after reduction is Rs 450

\small\implies{\sf } 450 = 0.9x

\small\implies{\sf } 450/0.9 = x

\small\implies{\sf } 450 x 100/9 = x

\small\implies{\sf } 4500/9 = x

\small\implies{\sf } 500 = x

Hence, original price of shirt is x = Rs 500
