Let the original price of the shirt be x

According to the question,

x -  \frac{7}{100}x \:   = 465

 \frac{100x - 7x}{100}  = 465

93x = 465 \times 100

x =  \frac{465 \times 100}{93}

x = 5 \times 100

x = 500

The original price of the shirt is rupees 500
