x-12°/•x = 1188
88/100 x = 1188
x = 1350

Let the original price of the shirt be x

ATQ

x - 12x/100 = 1188
100x/100 - 12x/100 = 1188
100x - 12x = 118800
100x = 118800
88x = 118800
x = 1350

thus the original price of the shirt is 1350$
