Let the Original Price of Sweater was x

Price increased = 8% of Original Price = (8/100) × x

Original Price + 8% of Original Price = Price of Sweater after increasing

Putting value of each

x+\frac{8}{100}x = 1566

\frac{108x}{100}=1566

x = 1566 \times \frac{100}{108}</p><p>x = 1450

Hence Original Price of Sweater was Rs.1450
