so, new price =

$x + x \times 08\%$

=> $\frac{108x}{100}$

A/Q, increased price is 1566.

Thus,

$\frac{108x}{100} = 1566$

Thus, x = $\frac{1566 \times 100}{108}$

= Rs 1450 Ans.
