Let original price of sweater be Rs \: x

now,it is given that price of sweater is increased by 8 ℅ .

so, new price =

x + x \times 08\%

=>  \frac{108x}{100}

A/Q, increased price is 1566.

Thus,

 \frac{108x}{100} = 1566

Thus, x =  \frac{1566 \times 100}{108}

= Rs 1450 Ans.

uptaayush212004: Wait.. I am sending you the correct answer
uptaayush212004: Let the price of sweater be x so 8% of x is 8*x/100 so the equation will be x + (8*x/100) = 1566 so 100x + 8x = 1566*100 108x = 156600 x = 156600 / 108 = 1450 so the actual value of sweater is Rs 1450
