suppose original price of sweater = 100
so , as according to the question the price of sweater was increased by 8% , increased price of sweater =108

NOW, IF 1566₹is 108 then how much is 100 , its equation will be

1566/108×100₹=1450₹

Hey,sup!

As per the question,

Let the sweater's original price be x.
Increase=8%.
Increased price = x(1+8/100)=108x/100.

Also increased price=1566.

So, 108x/100=1566.
108x=1566*100=156600.
x= 156600/108.
= 1450Rs.

So the original price is 1450Rs.

Hope it helps.
