Let Original price= x
New price= 1566₹
% change= 8%
% change sign= +ve(As price is Increased)
x + 8% of x = 1566₹
=> x + (8/100)× x = 1566₹
=> x + (2x/25)= 1566₹
=> 27 x= 1566 × 25
=> x= (1566×25)/27
=> x= ₹1450.
•°• Original price= ₹1450
Points to remember:
•New price = Original price+(Original price × %change)
{Replace '+' with '-' when %change sign is '-ve}
•% change= x%= (x/100)
•x% of y= (x×y)/100= xy/100
;)
hope it helps
